After a tough first set lost 1–6, Arneodo and Guinard turned the match around, winning 7–6^(10–8) in the second set and then 10–8 in the decisive super tie-break.

This victory marks the first Masters 1000 title for both players and is a historic achievement for Arneodo, who becomes the first Monegasque player to win this prestigious tournament.
