SUCCESS OF THE 26TH JUNIOR TOURNAMENT
The 26th edition of the Monte-Carlo Country Club Junior Tournament, which took place from July 4th to July 17th 2020, was once again a great success despite the special conditions imposed by COVID 19 this year.
250 young people of 15 different nationalities, eager to get back to the competition, met in a very international atmosphere.
It is worth noting the good behaviour of all and the high level of play achieved. The Monte-Carlo Country Club is very happy with the great performances achieved by the Club's players, in particular those of Camilla AMBROSIO (9/10 year old Girls), Carolina GANDOLFO (15/16 year old Girls), Nicolai KJAER (14 and 15/16 year old Boys) and Michele AMBROSIO (13 year old Boys).
The Club especially thanks the partners of this tournament for their faithful support in an unprecedented sanitary context this year: the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, the JOY OF MOVING initiative (KINDER+SPORT), Mr. Gunther KREISSEL, Mr. Saad BOUDEMAGH and the ILTC Monaco.
After a solemn tribute to Baroness Elizabeth-Ann de Massy, President of the Monte-Carlo Country Club until she passed away on June 10th, 2020, expressing the gratitude for her unfailing commitment for more than 50 years to the Club and its development, the Prize-Giving Ceremony, began on Friday 17 July at 5.30 pm, in the presence of our new President Melanie-Antoinette de Massy (former Vice-President) and the Executive Committee.
The occasion for the members of the Committee and the partners present (Miss Melanie-Antoinette DE MASSY, President, Mr Jean-Luc ALLAVENA, Committee member, Mr Marc-Alexandre BURINI, Committee member, Mr Giacomo BOZANO, Committee member, Mr Alain MANIGLEY, General Secretary, Mr Yves SALAUN, Deputy Treasurer, Mrs Zahira JAFFAL representing Mr Saad BOUDEMAGH, Mr Francis TRUCHI representing the I.L.T.C. of Monaco and Mrs Rita GRANDE, Director of the Joy of Moving Tennis Trophy tournament) to give their trophies to the winners and to the finalists of this competition.
Joy of Moving Tennis Trophy
The finalists as well as the winners of the 9 to 12 year old categories of the Junior Tournament got all qualified for the finals of the Joy of Moving Tennis Trophy which will take place in Spain from November 14th to 17th 2020.
The Monte-Carlo Country Club wishes, in advance, to all these players a great competition and good luck to Camilla Ambrosio winner of the 9/10 years old Girls category.
